Airline Model 62-351
This radio is an Airline model 62-351 from 1937.
The bakelite case is in good condition except for two hairline cracks.
One is in the left front corner and runs upward from the bottom edge
and the other is on the left side near the rear that also runs upward
from the bottom edge.
Both cracks have been stabilized from the inside of the case using
epoxy cement and are nearly invisible.
This radio has been electronically restored to working condition
and the pushbutton tuning mechanism has been thoroughly cleaned
(see the last picture).
All repairs have been done using vintage parts, by hiding modern
parts inside the shells of the originals, or by using reproduction
parts, thereby preserving the under-the-chassis appearance as well
as the outward look.
